For the past two years, I have been working on a collection of original folk songs based on the history of Bradford, West Yorkshire England. The songs are based on historical fact and associated legend. Myself and my co-author have now completed 13 songs, sufficient for a CD. Bradford & Bingley Building Society have kindly donated �1500 sponsorship towards the �3000 recording of the album. This will provide 1000 CD's. The proceedes from CD sales are to go to War On Cancer, the well known Bradford based charity. Other folk musicians have kindly offered to support this venture by playing for free. As you can see, we are half way there, but still require a further �1500 if the project is to go ahead.
